House of Prayer
All projectsThe heart of the mission
A city transformed by the presence of God begins with a people who seek His face.
Why a House of Prayer in Bangkok?
We believe that prayer is not just one part of the mission: it is the foundation of everything we do.
That is why we dream of establishing a House of Prayer in Bangkok, dedicated to worshipping Jesus and to continual intercession for Thailand and the nations of Asia. We long to cultivate a culture of devotion, in which Christ remains at the centre of everything and hearts are awakened to live in intimacy with Him.
Thailand is a nation where the Gospel is still little known by much of the population. We believe that prayer, together with the proclamation of the Gospel and the making of disciples, is essential to strengthening the local Church and to more people coming to know Jesus.
Our mission
To exalt Jesus, to intercede for the nations and to sustain the missionary work spiritually.
Our House of Prayer will have four main aims:
-
Continual worship
To cultivate a culture of love, devotion and wonder at the person of Jesus, keeping His presence at the centre of life and ministry.
-
Intercession for Thailand and for unreached peoples
To cry out for the salvation of lives, for the strengthening of local churches and for the advance of the Gospel in Thailand and across Asia.
-
Unity of the Church
To create a place of fellowship between churches, Thai leaders and missionaries, encouraging healthy relationships and cooperation in the Kingdom of God.
-
Raising up disciples and intercessors
To equip local Christians and missionaries to grow in intimacy with God, in spiritual maturity and in commitment to the Great Commission.
A spiritual foundation for the mission
The House of Prayer will also be a spiritual foundation for our other ministries, upholding in prayer the discipleship, evangelism, leadership training, Pearls of Thailand and the missionary initiatives in Bangkok.
We do not want simply to carry out ministry activities, but to cultivate a community that lives before God and serves from that place.
Our desire is to see Bangkok marked by the worship of Jesus, a strengthened Church and a generation that carries the Gospel to the places where He is not yet known.
